The qTOWER3 Real-Time PCR system from Analytik Jena is an open platform qPCR system, both with regard to plasticware formats (standard 96 well SBS plates, 0.2 ml tubes or 8-well strips) as well as kits/mastermixes. Sample volumes range from 10-80µl, with successful testing of volumes down to 5µl. The system is available with an optional built-in 10 touch screen for system control and sample analysis (system is operable via built-in touch screen or external computer). Heating and cooling rates are up to 8.0°C/sec and 6.0°C/sec, respectively.
The qTOWER3s gold-coated silver block provides corrosion resistance and high temperature homogeneity of only ±0.15°C at 55°C across all 96 wells. The fiber-optic scanning head with 8 individual light fibers eliminates the need for a passive reference and can scan an entire plate in only 6 seconds. Optical components are backed by an industry-leading 10-year warranty on optical components, with a 2-year warranty on the remainder of the system (upgradeable to 3 years free of charge upon warranty registration). In addition, the system requires absolutely no periodic calibration or maintenance for the life of the system.
